Every two years, the Fruit and Vegetable Research Institute organizes scientific conferences to evaluate the results of scientific and technological activities of the Institute, and exchange and improve experience among researchers inside and outside the institute.

The Scientific Conference of Vegetables and Fruits Research Institute in 2013 was held on 25-26 April 2013 to evaluate the performance of 20 projects.

The conference was attended by:

• Assoc. Nguyen Tan Hinh - Deputy Director, Department of Environmental Science and Technology, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development;

• Prof. TSH. Tran Duy Quy - Vietnam Academy of Agricultural Sciences;

• TS. Le Van Duc - Head of Plant and Fruit Tree Department, Department of Crop Production, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development

• TS. Trinh Khac Quang - Deputy Director of Vietnam Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Director of Fruit and Vegetable Research Institute;

• TS. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Vinh - Deputy Head of Science and International Cooperation, Vietnam Academy of Agricultural Sciences;

• Prof. Dr. Tran Khac Thi - Deputy Director of Research Institute of Vegetables and Fruits;

• TS. Mr. Ngo Hong Binh - Deputy Director of Research Institute of Vegetables and Fruits;

• TS. Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hung - Vice Director of Research Institute of Vegetables and Fruits;

• MSc. Tran Thi Oanh Yen - Institute of Southern Fruit Plants;

• MSc. Dao Xuan Canh - Institute of Food Crops and Food Plants;

• Heads of departments, departments, centers, affiliated companies and researchers of the Institute.

At the conference, the reports received a lot of input from the Council and experts in the field, helping to complete the report, broadening the direction of research with high application in production.

Since 1999, Vegetables and Fruits Research Institute has 63 plant varieties, 36 ministerial technical procedures and 60 recognized technical procedures. This is a result encouraging staffs of the Institute to continue research and create high quality products for production and consumption.
