Scientific research and technology transfer in fruit production in northern provinces
3. Duties of subject:
- Research on new breeding and propagation of fruit trees.
- To study the technology of producing fruit trees with high efficiency and sustainability.
- Plan, develop and implement projects to develop fruit trees.
- Collecting, preserving, evaluating and exploiting gene sources of fruit trees.
- Transfer of new techniques and techniques on fruit trees to production.
4. Results:
- Collecting and constructing groups of 40 varieties (50 specimens), pomelo (40 samples), banana (120 samples), mango (78 samples), pineapples (37 samples), papaya (61 samples), dragon fruit (20 samples) ...
- Selection of new varieties of litchi (4 varieties), longan (5 varieties), banana (2 varieties), pineapple (4 varieties), mango (5 varieties), dragon fruit (1 variety).
- Develop and improve technical procedures for multiplication, transformation and intensification of key fruit trees in the North.
